Our management and staff had much to celebrate at the Irish Hotel Awards last week where we picked up 5 accolades.

Among the most coveted awards of the night, The Belleek Restaurant was honored with the title of Hotel Restaurant of the Year (Ulster). Under the leadership of accomplished Executive Head Chef Stephen Greenwood, the restaurant was celebrated for flavourful, inventive dishes showcasing locally-sourced, seasonal produce. The judges also noted the warm and efficient service, and the restaurant’s beautiful setting overlooking Lough Erne.

Hotel director James McKenna commented, ‘This is a huge award for us as there is so much competition in this category. It’s a testament to the talent and dedication of our brilliant kitchen team and restaurant staff.’

The evening saw Una Monaghan, the hotel’s Wedding Manager, honored with the esteemed title of Wedding Manager of the Year (Ulster). Una was recognised for her warmth and sparkling personality, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. In addition, the hotel also scooped the award for Lakeside Wedding Venue of the Year (Ulster). Una said, ‘One of the main selling points for couples is our fantastic location, and we are truly blessed with the stunning backdrop of Lough Erne.’

Also acknowledged on the night was Jolanta Zostautiene, Housekeeping Manager of the Year (Ulster). Jolanta and her team were celebrated for keeping the 18th Century hotel in immaculate condition and its 80 bedrooms perfectly presented.

The accolades continued as Frances Cathcart claimed the title of Breakfast Manager of the Year (All Ireland). The breakfast experience at the Belleek Restaurant was hailed for its meticulous presentation, quality produce and friendly, efficient service that sets the tone for a memorable start to the day.

The Irish Hotel Awards are decided by a group of anonymous judges who act as mystery shoppers, reviewing all the facilities before completing an in-depth report on every aspect of the hotel. According to Director Rosemary McKenna, this made the awards all the more special. ‘To know that the service provided to our mystery judge was to such a high standard that we came away with five awards is really gratifying. We consistently receive feedback that the staff at the Manor House go above and beyond for guests, and we’re blessed with a fantastic team who care about the experience of everyone who walks through our doors.’

James McKenna concluded, ‘We’re delighted to bring five Irish Hotel Awards back to Fermanagh, and hugely proud of the team’s efforts. The plan now is to build on these successes and continue to provide brilliant experiences for hotel guests and locals alike’.
